The European Innovation Academy (EIA) had locations in Italy, Portugal and Hong Kong. Now the European location is only in Portugal. There is also the Arab Innovation Academy in Qatar. In 2017 and 2018, STEM and CREATE Path to the MBA students from the University of Alabama attended the session in Italy which included stops to Turin, Milan, and Rome. In 2019, the students visited Lisbon and Cascais in Portugal. The EIA program allows students working in teams to develop a business model for a product or service and pitch their idea to investors.
